My PhD research was futher explored well into my postdoc by adding more complex data and by participating in an international team to process and analyse groundbreaking data from a new intrument placed in Chile at the European Southern Observatory. Some of the predictions of my PhD Thesis could be further investigated.
2006–2009
PhD Student, Astrophysical Institute Potsdam
The focus of my research revolved around the radiation analysis of distant objects for understanding the evolution of the universe.
No proper software was avalible at the time to make the job, so I had to create my own. Working primarily in C and Python, I created elaborate programs to process, analyse and visualize both data and results. Futhermore, I contribute to develop and extend theoretical models to explain my observations.
